Jovans Lorquet

Jovans Rolph Lorquet is a Haitian‑American konpa/zouk singer, born in 1992 in Miami and raised in Port‑au‑Prince. The son of renowned Haitian musician, journalist, and author Joël Lorquet, he developed his artistic talent early, learning piano, guitar, flute, and violin. His musical style blends modern konpa, zouk, and Caribbean pop, characterized by smooth vocals and uplifting melodies.

Alongside his artistic journey, Jovans is also an emergency physician in the United States. After studying at Barry University and Florida International University, he practices medicine in Orlando while balancing music, humanitarian work, and community engagement through the Lorquet Foundation for a New Haiti (FOLONHA).
His discography includes several albums Zouk/Kompa Vol. 1 (2015), Vol. 2 (2018), Vini Avè M (2021), Oui Oui (2023), Live at Le Carlton (2026) and collaborations with artists such as J Perry, Kanis, Bacheler, Niska, and BAZ. His music has gained international traction, especially in Europe, Canada, and Russia, where konpa is experiencing renewed popularity.
