KrisPek is a Haitian rapper from Saint-Marc, Haiti, active in the Rap Kreyòl movement. With an introspective and conscious approach to hip-hop, he has developed a musical universe shaped by personal experiences, social realities, dignity, perseverance, and reflections on Haitian society.
KrisPek began his journey in rap around 2007, a period he references in his own music. Over the years, he gradually developed an artistic identity centered on lyrical expression and performances primarily in Haitian Creole.
He is also associated with the nickname “Nèg Bèf La” (NBL), an identity that has appeared around his musical projects.
Early years in Rap Kreyòl
Before releasing his major projects, KrisPek built his catalog through a series of singles. His documented releases include Dead, Mort-Né, and Se Konsa M Viv in 2020, followed by Siw Renmenl and Imbécile in 2021.
These recordings helped establish an artistic direction characterized by personal storytelling, independence, and a conscious approach to Rap Kreyòl.
O.D.T – L'œil Du Tigre
On December 26, 2021, KrisPek released O.D.T – L'œil Du Tigre through LWAYOTE MIZIK. The seven-track project marked an important stage in the development of his discography.
The project includes songs such as Ban M, F.A.A.M.S, and Avec Ou Sans Aide. The latter particularly reflects one of the recurring themes in KrisPek's music: continuing to move forward despite obstacles, whether support is available or not.
Through O.D.T, KrisPek further established an artistic identity based on perseverance, independence, and determination.
GID: dignity and principles
KrisPek returned on May 7, 2023, with GID, another seven-track project.
Released under Lwayote Mizik and Evazyon Mizik, GID explores subjects such as dignity, honesty, success, personal choices, struggle, and the fragility of life.
One of its most personal tracks, Lalala, addresses elements of KrisPek's childhood, including the separation of his parents and the sacrifices made by his mother to provide him with better living conditions.
Through these experiences, KrisPek develops a broader reflection on dignity and the importance of maintaining one's principles rather than sacrificing them for material advantages.
The project also includes Plan B, San Regrè, Verite, Trdv, Gid, and Yo Pa Konprann.
Collaborations associated with the project include Zomò, Stan, Ken FS, and D-FI.
Conscious and personal writing
A defining characteristic of KrisPek's music is his ability to use personal experiences as a starting point for broader reflections.
His lyrics address hardship, relationships, ambition, dignity, social realities, personal values, and the challenges individuals encounter while trying to build their own path.
This approach places him within a branch of Rap Kreyòl where lyrics and message occupy a central role.
KrisPek has also identified with the underground side of the movement, emphasizing artistic expression and personal convictions rather than systematically following mainstream rap conventions.
This philosophy creates continuity between O.D.T and GID. Despite differences in production and subject matter, perseverance, independence, and loyalty to one's principles remain recurring elements of his work.
Collaborations and Rap Kreyòl
KrisPek has also participated in collaborative projects within the Haitian rap scene.
He appears on Kafou by Dèf Fondamantal, from the 2023 project The Lost Tapes, as well as on Jou paw la from Firstclass Rap Kreyol's Rap Kreyol liye, Vol. 3.
His collaboration with Ken FS on the title track Gid is another documented example of his connections within the Rap Kreyòl community.
From 2024 to 2026
Following GID, KrisPek continued releasing music with Bagay Senp in 2024.
On July 10, 2026, he released Nòt on Fàn (S2), representing his most recent documented release at the time of this biography.
